SOUTH JORDAN, UT – May 27, 2024 – Join us for the exciting unveiling of the South Jordan Dowdle Puzzle mural. Famous artist and TV star Eric Dowdle, known for his intricate and community-focused artwork, has captured the spirit of South Jordan in a puzzle that showcases the milestones and heritage that define South Jordan.

“This year marks the 165th since our city was founded, and I can’t imagine a better time to have unveiled our very own Dowdle puzzle,” said Mayor Dawn R. Ramsey. “It fills me with immense pride to be a part of the creation of this testament to South Jordan’s rich history and bright future.”

Event Details:

The unveiling ceremony will feature South Jordan’s mayor and city council, who, alongside community members and city staff, will celebrate this unique addition to our public art collection. Attendees will have the first opportunity to view the mural, meet Eric Dowdle, and purchase puzzles for signing.

The mural is located at Heritage Park, symbolizing South Jordan’s journey from its pioneering roots to the dynamic city it is today. The artwork depicts iconic elements such as the SoJo Summerfest, the Jordan River, and significant historical events, including the 1938 bus accident that led to changes in national bus laws. It also honors the industrious spirit of early farmers and the legacy of multi-generational families.

Puzzle Availability:

The Dowdle puzzles will be available for purchase at the event for $20 (plus tax) and at South Jordan City Hall during regular hours. Collect a piece of South Jordan’s history and celebrate why we love living in one of the Best Cities in America.

Puzzles will be available for sale (not signed) at the concessions trailer in the Public Works building parking lot from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 31st, from 1 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, and during the SoJo Summerfest Parade Saturday morning from 9 –11 a.m. After that, they will be available at South Jordan City Hall, Fire Station 64, and Mulligans Golf & Games for sale.
