Fatal Motorcycle Accident
South Jordan, UT – On Tuesday evening, July 29, 2025, just after 6:00 p.m., South Jordan Police responded to a crash at 10363 South Redwood Road.
A motorcycle traveling northbound on Redwood Road collided with a SUV turning left into the Smith parking lot.
The 31-year-old motorcyclist, was wearing a helmet. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The South Valley Crash Team, which includes officers from South Jordan, Herriman, and Riverton police departments, is continuing to investigate what led to the crash.
Redwood Road was shut down in both directions for several hours during the investigation.
The City of South Jordan extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of those involved during this difficult time.
